The story behind it all

In the summer of 2009, a group of student leaders and tech lovers agreed that students were getting left out of the world of technology. This is the story of EPIC - a platform to support students passionate about technology. EPIC's mission is to create opportunities for students to connect with technology leaders and to one day be technology leaders.

Our first initiative was to launch the best student tech conference ever, and students who attended EpCon have told us we definitely succeeded. Next up: Engage, a series of real, open discussions across university campuses between technology companies and students, and EpCon 2!

What students told us about EpCon

EpCon was an energetic conference with eye opening presentations from industry leaders about current trends in technology. It is a must attend for anyone who considers themselves a technology enthusiast!

Great place to learn more about technologies and get together with other students.

EpCon was an eye-opening experience. I learned so much from the amazing group of industry professionals who were so passionate about technology and entrepreneurship. It was equally great to meet like-minded individuals who shared the same passion. Thanks for a great EpCon and I look forward to EpCon 2!

EpCon was a great opportunity for young and enthusiastic university students to network with company giants such as RIM, Google and Microsoft; and learn from the experiences of entrepreneurs whose hit rock bottom and excelled all the way to the top. Overall, it was a worth-while experience for students with a start-up mindset and a love for technology.
